I wanted to do a Blog to keep an ongoing journal of my experience of preparing for this pilgrimage - exploring pilgrimage; why go on a pilgrimage; why now? And I would enjoy hearing wisdom from my friends about what they have learned about pilgrimage and to share this journey to Mt. Kailas - The Abode of Shiva.
I believe that anyone that participates is on the pilgrimage too even if they don't physically go on the journey.
Anyway I know that this is a very creative process and the form of it will unfold as we go along.
We have been thinking that the Guru Gita would be our scripture to study and practice now and during the actual pilgrimage.
It is very exciting to begin our Blog!
Elizabeth Greig and I have been wanting to go on a pilgrimage to Mt. Kailas for at least 10 years and finally we are going summer 2011!
